Hemlines are definitely on the rise for men. Men are becoming more and more comfortable baring their lean and toned legs during the sweltering season. And why shouldn't they? There really is no better way to finally show off the hard work and hours upon hours you spent at the gym sculpting your body during the gloomy winter days, than in a pair of short shorts. Though, it takes a certain level of confidence in a man to brave a pair of micro-shorts. It also seem to have become a sort of standard modern dress code to wear shorts that are above the knees.
What I find appealing about short shorts on men, is how sophisticated and clean they look. There is no hint of femininity, but rather, a strong masculine and modern sensibility. But could they ever be too short? The runway doesn't seem to think so.
When it comes to micro shorts on guys I think they are better off left on the runway. However, I do love the mid-thigh lengths. They are so fresh and modern. They give the extra sophistication to an outfit, whether it is paired with a simple tee or with a tailored blazer.
